A massive shout-out to everyone who joined us for our opening weekend! π We were absolutely thrilled with the incredible vibes on the hill and around the ski resort. ποΈ
ππ Celebrating an Epic Opening Weekend! ππ
It warmed our hearts to see so many familiar faces hitting the slopes and enjoying our cozy chalets. πΏβοΈ Skiing and snowboarding truly are delights we're fortunate to have right here in our own backyard! Many of the first skiers and riders of the season were camped out for hours waiting for that first chair. It certainly has become a "holiday" for many! Thank you for your love of our sport and resort! Kudos to Blackstrap for also hooking those up who were the first 50 or so in line with some sweet custom neck tubes!
βοΈ SNOWMAKING RETURNS βοΈ
This upcoming weekend is gearing up to be pretty much a ditto of the last with the same terrain. π Despite some challenging temperatures, our snowmaking team managed to work their magic for one night this week. But don't worry, folks! π¬οΈ We've got a promising window starting Saturday night through Monday for more snowmaking fun. Our team is geared up to cover Miracle, Upper Duskey, Sky High, Lower Duskey, Birch, Mystery, as well as Woodspur and Superstition.
Our current focus? Perfecting the trails between Miracle and Mystery by December 15th when we plan to switch to daily operations. Let's all do the cold dance to keep those temperatures in check - we need it to be cold, and we'll take care of the rest! βοΈπ
NEW PROGRAM ALERT - GP4 FOR FREESTYLE KIDS
Exciting news! π Introducing the GP4 (Granite Peak Parks Progression Program), a thrilling program for Freestyle Enthusiasts eager to elevate their skills! Starting in January, this 20-night adventure (Tuesdays and Thursdays) promises loads of fun through our terrain parks. TWO NEW LEGENDARY LIFTS AT OUR SISTER RESORTS
Hold onto your helmets! πΏ Our sister resorts are unveiling two of the region's newest lifts - the Raptor Express at Lutsen on December 15th and the Voyageur Express at Snowriver Mountain Resort on December 16th! π The Raptor Express grants quick access to the top of Eagle Mountain, offering breathtaking views of Lake Superior. Meanwhile, the Voyageur Express at Snowriver Mountain, the first high-speed six-pack in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, promises a ride time of just 3 minutes! ποΈπ‘ Exciting times ahead with upgrades to lodging, snowmaking, and chalets at Snowriver. Can't wait to explore these transformations!
HOLIDAY FAMILY FUN
Get ready for a festive blast at our first Family Festival of the season from December 15th to 17th! π π Santa is taking Groomer Rides (book now!), and Saturday night lights up with a spectacular Fireworks show. π Kids can unleash their creativity with cookie decorating, and everyone gets to enjoy free s'mores on the deck before the fireworks! πͺπ₯ Inside, Historic Brad Emanuel will be performing Christmas Carols, setting the perfect holiday mood. Break out those Ugly Sweaters and join us for a weekend full of joy and laughter! π€π
